A Literary Analysis on “Upuan” focusing in Political conext

 Upuan is one of the popular song of Gloc 9. It is a song that have a message to everyone esapecially to Government. Government is a position that will make them powerful and do anything they want. Poverty is one of the social issue that this country was facing trough. Its all about societal isssue that government did do nothing. This song show as a voice to the all people that government did not pay attention. Basically it’s the relationship between the government that rule in the country and the poor people that want hear their real life situation.

 

“Mawalang galang na po Sa taong naka upo Alam niyo bang pantakal ng bigas namin ay di puno Ang ding-ding ng bahay namin ay pinagtagpi-tagping yero Sa gabi ay sobrang init na tumutunaw ng yelo” In this line the artist want to say what is happening to the people that experiencing poverty.This happens when there aren’t enough jobs, when people can’t find work, or when they don’t earn enough money to support themselves and their families. The rich politician are getting richer, but the the condition of the society is getting poorer.

The people give them a trust or let say a privilege to change the society. They always promise that they will make people life better but when they elect the promises are forgotten.

 

 

 

I can say”Upuan” is not a just a song. It’s a message to the government that they need to aware what is happening to the out side world. They are so selfish enough, they just focusing to make money or to corrupt. As a citizen, we need a people that have a good mind and heart that can lead us to a better life or to our bright futur.This song want to show a people that under the government that don’t have a enough voice to say what is they problems that need a help by government to make solution.
